Lexus Dark Ride

Check out the full on Interactive version HERE. This was an awesome project at SPEEDSHAPE last year for the launch of the Lexus ct200h Hybrid car. It was a great experience with low light shooting and plates and an amazing load of shots I had to track for the car mule replacements since there wasn’t a production vehicle available for the shoot!

The whole project was shot on a RED at 4K and most of it in low/natural light at NIGHT! The RED still produced some awesome results and was some awesome footage which gave us A LOT of detail to work with.

You can check out the full length video here or click on the link above for the Short and Interactive versions.

Little Clone Trooper

Awesome 15 Second spot I worked on late in 2010 in a series of Lego Star Wars commercials. I was responsible for the Lighting and Look Development along with the Texturing and Shading of the characters..

This is only one of the spots.. More to come SOON!!!

Motorola Xoom Spots

Well this was a big push earlier this year. Motorola was releasing it’s not iPad2 competitor the Xoom tablet and we at Method were once again tasked with portraying another “freaky” bionic extension of a human with a “Mobile Device”…

Well I’d have to say it was a challenge at first as to how we would make this spot not feel like the actor was getting killed by this crazy contraption. But in the end this was the final result and I think were all happy about how well it turned out.

F*CK YOU PAY ME!

Many people in the creative service industries are subject to abuse of clients and employers even, and many don’t know how to deal with it in the correct business manner. I’m sure all of my colleagues and friends int he VFX/CG Industry have dealt with this issue at one point or another.

But here’s a great video on how to make sure you do get compensated for your time, work and efforts on any project that you’re contracted to work on.

Iron Man Part Duex

So the Iron Man 2 movie is going to start the summer of 2010 off with a blast! It was also a blast and pleasure working on this movie while my time at The Third Floor Inc. late last year. We provided a huge amount of shots for what we call “post-vis”.

Once again I’m in a position where I can’t really provide much detail but the project was a blast to work on and I can’t wait till it’s on the big screen. Continue Reading →

Robot Love

[UPDATE!] Watch the full movie here!!!

“I’m Here” All I can say is that this charming little independent movie provided several technical difficulties during production. The films debut a few weeks ago at Sundance Film Festival was a great hit and I’m glad to be part of the team that made it all happen. For those who have seen the film and are wondering how the eyes/mouths were done I will tell you it was all animation and CG. The team at Method Studios kicked some serious butt to make it all happen and we’re very proud of the results. Continue Reading →

Project TS

So here we have Project TS. This is a tough one to get through as the licensing and certain aspects of the project fell through I’m not allowed to give much detail about the project due to legal reason. But I can show you a clip of the first episode with final CG assets.

So what we have here are puppets which we added all facial animation to and comped to real plates. I was the tracking lead and contributed to the VFX and Lighting of the characters.
